What this website and our apps collect, why, and what happens to it. Last reviewed 16 October 2026.
Who we are
This website and our apps for ChatGPT and Claude are run by Fidesq Business Consulting Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 17444464. Registered office: The Maltings, 2 Anderson Road, Bearwood, West Midlands, B66 4AR. We are the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact: [email protected].
What we collect and why
Enquiry forms. When you send a form on this site, we receive the details you type: your name, email address, the organisation you name and your message. The form is delivered to our inbox by FormSubmit, a third-party form service, which processes it to send the email and does not use it for anything else. We use your enquiry to reply to you and, if you become a client, to run the work. Our lawful basis is legitimate interest in responding to an enquiry you chose to send.
Call bookings. The "Book a 20-minute call" buttons load a Calendly booking widget when you click them, not before. Calendly collects the name, email and time you enter under its own privacy notice, and sends the booking to us.
Email. If you email us, we keep the correspondence for as long as it is relevant to the enquiry or the work.
Mailing list. If you ask for the free LinkedIn messages on the LinkedIn Network Report page, we collect your email address, your first name if you choose to give it, the time you signed up and the IP address you signed up from, which is our record that you agreed. We use MailerLite, an email service run by MailerLite Limited in Ireland, to store your address and send you email. It processes your details for us and stores them in the EU. We only email you if you tick the box and then click the confirmation link we send you. Our lawful basis is your consent, and you can withdraw it at any time with the unsubscribe link in every email, or by emailing [email protected]. We send a short welcome series, then occasional practical tips on LinkedIn and AI and news about our services. We keep your address until you unsubscribe. If you never confirm, we don't email you, and we delete the address within 12 months.
Tools. The LinkedIn Network Report reads the file you choose entirely in your browser. Nothing from it is uploaded to us or to anyone else. The optional email sign-up on that page is separate, and is described under Mailing list above. The heat pump cost calculator's form works entirely in your browser: nothing you put in the form is sent to us. The assistant chat on that page is different. Your messages, and the home details on the form, go to our server and on to Anthropic, the company behind Claude, to work out an answer. We don't store your messages. Don't include your name, address or contact details; the assistant never asks for them.
Heat pump assistant. The chat on the heat pump calculator page works differently. When you send it a message, your messages and the home details shown on the page go to our server and on to Claude, an AI made by Anthropic, so it can reply. Anthropic processes them for us as a service provider, in the United States, and under its commercial terms does not use them to train its models. We do not store your messages. Our server uses your IP address to limit how many messages each visitor can send, and our hosting provider keeps standard request logs. Please do not type your name, full address or contact details into the chat. Our lawful basis is legitimate interest in answering the question you ask.
Visitor statistics. We use Umami Cloud to count visits to this site and a few actions, such as running the heat pump calculator or clicking through to find an installer. Umami sets no cookies and does not identify you. It records the page you visit, the site that sent you, your browser, your type of device and your country, and stores the data in the EU. It never records what you type into a form or a calculator. We use these figures to see which pages and tools are useful. Our lawful basis is legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used.
Our apps in ChatGPT and Claude
We publish the Heat Pump Cost Checker UK, which you can use inside ChatGPT (made by OpenAI) and Claude (made by Anthropic).
What the app receives. When ChatGPT or Claude uses the app, it sends us only what the app needs to work out an estimate: roughly where you live (a town or the first half of a postcode), the type of home, the number of bedrooms, how you heat it now, whether you own or rent it, whether it has mains gas, whether it is a new build and, if you give it, roughly what you pay for heating. The app never asks for your name, contact details or full postcode. We use these details to work out the estimate and do not store them.
What we log. ChatGPT also sends anonymous codes with each request: a code for the user and one for the conversation, made by OpenAI so they do not reveal who you are, plus your language setting. It may also send a rough location and the type of device; we don't keep those. For each use of the app we log the time, which part of the app was used, whether it came from ChatGPT or Claude, the two anonymous codes and your language setting. Claude sends no such codes, so uses from Claude are logged without them. We never log the details you give the app. We use this log to count how often the app is used, including how many people come back, and to find and fix errors. We never see the rest of your conversation, and we cannot link these codes to you. Our lawful basis is legitimate interest in running and improving the app. Logs are deleted within 12 months.
Your conversation. Your chat with ChatGPT or Claude is handled by OpenAI or Anthropic under their own privacy notices. We do not receive it.
Links from the app. The app links to other websites, such as the MCS installer search and GOV.UK. Links carry a short label showing they came from our app, which contains nothing about you. Once you leave the app, that website's own privacy notice applies.
What we do not collect
This site sets no cookies and runs no advertising or cross-site tracking. The only third-party code that loads is Umami, described above, and the Calendly widget, which loads only after you click a booking button. MailerLite receives your email address only when you submit the sign-up form on the LinkedIn Network Report page, and nothing loads from it before then. The typefaces are served from this site, not from a font service.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become work are deleted within 12 months of the last message. App usage logs are deleted within 12 months. Mailing list addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Client records are kept for six years after the work ends, which is the period HMRC requires for business records.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to our using it, by emailing [email protected]. We reply within one month. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
